Bottles

These bottles were found on the shelf
below the pottery I painted earlier.
I was interested in their color and
the reflections in the glass.

I am running short on time today.
I took Linda to the market, the store and
the Library. By then it was noon! I then
did a little gutter maintenance since it is to
rain, this required a trip to the hardware
store. Finally I started painting and it was
time to stop for dinner. Back to my painting
and then I am interrupted by my buddy Joe,
enticing me to chat, so I am finishing a
painting at almost 11pm...
still counts for today!

Picket Fence & Hollyhocks

Another scene from the Hale Farm
in Ohio. I like the way the hollyhocks
were peaking over the fence. Their
color made even stronger with the
yellow house in the background.

I got up early to ride and it was storming.
So I went back to bed till 7! I pretty much
was painting until just now. Juggling the
blog painting, a commission and my larger
apple painting. I did stop for dinner.

Sunday check in...

Framed: 24"x 18" ~ Made by Hand ~ $1800.

This painting turned out great.
Six crocks in a variety of colors.
They look like you could pick them
right off the shelf.


I did a little framing work to free up
Linda who spent the day at her desk.
Also did some maintenance on my bikes
and now we are going to watch the movie
Rome (2nd season #1).

Saturday check in

14x18 ~ Untitled ~ $475

I actually finished this at the Penn State Show.
Turned out well. I liked the light across
the pot. Title suggestions are welcome!

Last night I took Linda to Sunnybrook for
a 70's dance. 4 Hours of Disco...
We got our groove on! Had a great time.
Today I sketched my commission, I want
to wait till Monday for the client to OK the
drawing before going any farther on it.
I started my apple painting, It will be 14x18
I have the drawing and the first washes on
the apples. At 5pm I went out for a bike ride.
We are now getting a pizza and watch a movie.
Thats my Saturday. It feels nice having a break
from a weekend show.

Apples

4"x 6" Watercolor ~ $175.

This is a study for a larger painting I
am starting tomorrow. I wanted a
change from still life. I concentrated
on getting the feel of the apples. To work
out the colors and pattern. They were
hanging on a tree but I did not finish
the leaves, just gave the impression of a
background.

I also have a commission to start so I
will not get a blog done tomorrow.
It is Linda's birthday, she is spending
tomorrow with her Mom and then I
am taking her out dancing (at Sunnybrook)
in the evening. Music from the 70's...
Never did master The Hustle!

2010 Pottery #2

4"x6" Watercolor ~ $225.00

This is a study for a larger painting I
am working on. I found the pottery
at the Hale Farm in Ohio on my recent visit.

I am finally home for a week. No show
this weekend which is nice. Penn State
went well. Linda now needs to put in a
supply order and get some framing done.
I need to replace the originals I sold which
is a good problem. Even though we are
home I plan to paint, paint and paint some

more and I have another commission to
start.

Tuesday check in...

Packed and ready to leave in the morning.
Planning to be on the road by 8:30am.
Set up the camper first then go to the show
and set up my display. Pretty much takes
the whole day.

Monday check in...

The show in the Berkshires went very
well. I sold several paintings which
felt like the old days! I finished this
painting of a bench. The painting is
actually more grey but photoed with more
yellow. I tried several takes and just
cannot get it. So you will need to trust me
when I tell you it looks great.

No title... $575.00 14x18 framed....
We got home today at 5PM, unpacked
the van, did a few house chores while
Linda did 3 loads of laundry. We leave
again on Wednesday for the Penn State
show. So tomorrow will be filled with
chores. Small blog paintings are on hold!
