Only $125 (unframed) to the first person to email or call!

I found this at my local Giant store.  A box full of pears!
I simply liked the shapes and color.  Inspiration can be found
anywhere!

I snagged a Fine Arts Award over the weekend.
Nice ribbon but it also came with a little cash!

This holiday weekend I can be found at MayFair in
Allentown.  Aside from me being there, there is great
music.  Worth the admission... add it to your weekend
plans

2016 Alsace Wine Route #2

4"x 6"  Original Watercolor ~ A Painting A Day..  SOLD!!
Only $125 (unframed) to the first person to email or call!
If unclaimed by 5/20 the price goes to $275

Another beautiful window from the Alsace Wine Route.
I did not keep good records on which village these were
from.  We parked, walked around, took lots of photos and

moved on to the next village.  They love their window boxes
and so do I!  This one has a bit of an impressionistic feel.

Update:
The weekend show in Rittenhouse did not fare well for me.
Rain, high wind, low sales and high expenses just made for a
rocky weekend.  Monday I spent the morning helping with
6th grade track runoffs.  Then ran errands with Linda in the
afternoon.   Tuesday we spent the morning getting to know
our niece's new baby!  Teaching Paige how we take selfies!

Today I am finally getting some painting done.
Waiting to see what the weekend weather brings.
I am guessing my Saturday show will use the rain
date of Sunday.  So if you were planning to see me
in Quakertown watch my show schedule for updates.

2016 Chanticleer #3

4"x 6"  Original Watercolor ~ A Painting A Day..SOLD!
Only $125 (unframed) to the first person to email or call!
If unclaimed by 5/13 the price goes to $275

What a challenge all the different green growth was to
paint,  but this white trillium  was nestled into all the other
lush spring greens.  I wanted to paint a trillium because
back when I started in the early 80's I had painted a pink
one.  This was easier with 36 years of practice!  I am
guessing we will make a return visit to Chanticleer as soon
as track season is over...  If you live close to Wayne, PA
put it on your list.  We love it.

There will be no painting on Thursday!  I need to pack the
van and then I have our big league track meet.  Last one for
the season.  Then its off to my show.   Remember to tell any
friends near Philadelphia PA that I am showing all weekend
at Rittenhouse Square!

After we left Italy we had ten more fabulous days of
sightseeing.  We drove through the Alsace-Wine-Route
in France.  Each village more perfect than the last!

On the home front:
This is my last week of track practice finishing with
Leagues
on Thursday afternoon. Then we are off to
a three day
show in Rittenhouse Square.  Linda hates
city shows so I
cannot understand why she scheduled it!
But if you are
anywhere close to Philadelphia the show is
free and
since its a guild show the quality is very good.

I always say I am not a flower painter but sometimes
there are interesting scenes that happen to have flowers
in them!  I was studying the photos I took at Chanticleer

Tulip painting

Weekend update...
Saturday's show in Kennett Square was not the
best.  I think they forgot to advertise.  I gave it
a good try but will not return next year.
Sunday Linda had a great day planned.  Friends,
the Hildebrands joined us for the day.  We started
with breakfast in West Chester, PA at Roots Cafe.
Excellent!  Then off to Pennsbury Antique Mall
to just stroll around.  Next was a unique museum
that anyone interested in history should visit.
Sanderson Museum in Chadds Ford, PA  Totally enjoyed
it.  Then a great dinner at Four Dogs Tavern in West
Chester. Their lemon meringue ice cream pie is a must
try if you like lemon!  We had a great day in spite of
the rain.  Monday started with a wet bike ride.  Then
off to take down an exhibit that was up for a month.
Stops at UPS to ship a print, grocery store and
hardware store for paint for the bedroom.  Not for me
but for my brother in law who is remodeling our room.
For the first time in 30 years of living in our house we
actually have insulation in a room!  Its a start.
Then off to track practice.

Painting:
I did paint on Saturday.  If you are following the
tulip progress... remember these are all just
beginning washes.
