This has been such good practice. I enjoy the
contemporary looser style to the painting of
water and flowers. You may not see it but I
feel it! The lilies that did not sell were framed
today and they look so good. I get a little
thrill seeing the new work framed.
We are off this weekend.
Planning to visit Abbey and Ben in DC.
Maybe go to Longs Park Concert on Sunday.

4"x 6" original watercolor
This painting is all about the pads. It is a small
painting but has the feeling that the lilies just fill
up this pond...
Early morning bike ride, painted, gassed up the van
for the weekend show, visited my Mom, stopped
for two new toilet seats, and finished my day by
having dinner with friends. Good day.

In a way, this painting is more of a study of reflection
than it is about a waterlily. A tree reflects half the
painting while the other half is the cloudy sky. But I
love the shot of hot pink in the center.

Since the photo I had to work with was pretty old

it the way they wanted. The size is 21x17

I have been inspired by the waterlilies I saw in Ohio.
Planning on painting a few. They are my favorite
It has been a long 3 weeks. Finished the show in
Allentown, PA and had two days to repack and leave
for Cincinnati, OH. We were rained out Friday and
frankly I did not have much interest at this show.
We then headed north to Cleveland to our friends and
spent the week with them. Finishing the week with
another Ohio show which was much better.
Arrived home Monday night to a whole bunch of catch-up!
I also finished a wonderful painting plus my farm commission.
Photos to follow.
