2015 Tuscany #3

4"x 6" Miniature Original
A Painting A Day... SOLD!
Again, this looks so much better in person.
I enjoy the patchwork of the landscape.

Busy two days; unpack, restock, repack the van.
I have a bees nest inside Linda's compost barrel
which cannot stay there.  Our gas grill had a messy
issue with the connections and started a small
fire, lucky the tank did not explode. The Weber is dead.
Van goes to the garage tomorrow for its 3rd alternator.
Luckily the last 2 were still under warranty.  Faulty
product...  needs to run well, we are heading to Kentucky
for a show.  I have a house commission that is not
going real well.  The house has large trees in front of
it and I cannot see the house lines.  I need to paint it
without the trees.  I have been there three times to try
to figure it out...  On the good side, my Italy paintings
have almost all sold which means I can continue to paint
them!

2015 Tuscany #2

6"x 4" Miniature Original
A Painting A Day...   SOLD

More from Tuscany.  I have been excited to
start painting the landscape.  It is a study
in patterns and greens.  I will say they look
much better than they photograph.  The photo
loses its vibrancy...

I flatted on my bike ride early this morning and
was not able to fix it.  I was out in the back roads
of New Holland so my buddy John came to my
rescue...thank you!!   Painted most of my day
then packed the van.  Sad to have to pack for a
two block ride to the park!   Linda has been using
these nice days to pull weeds in the garden and I
have clean up duty.   The weeds took full advantage
of us being away so long.

2015 Volterra, Italy #1

4"x 6" Miniature Original
A Painting A Day... $300   SOLD!

Volterra was a favorite of our group.
A wonderful place to stroll.

We spent the weekend in DC with friends John and Bonnie Hildebrand and
our kids.  Abbey and Ben played taxi driver dropping us off at the
monuments we wanted to see; FDR, MLK, and WWII.   Making it so easy
for us to be tourists!  Then
Abbey used her parking pass to park at the
Museum of American History, took us in her entrance, saw her new office
and she gave us a tour.  Dinner at our favorite Italian place and we spent
the night in Abbey and  Ben's new house. Sunday morning we had a nice
breakfast, some time to talk and Linda received a cool plant and watering
can for her birthday.  We left the kids and we went to Lincolns Summer
Cottage.   Good tour, a bit of lunch and home.
Our beautiful daughter,
Deputy Director of Events at the American History Museum, Smithsonian!

2015 Alsace Wine Trail #1

4"x 6" Miniature Original
A Painting A Day..   $275  SOLD

We took a drive on the Alsace Wine Trail
in France, stopping in several villages.  I am
not sure which one this is but I love
the colors in this painting.

Our trip recap:
After 14 days in Italy our friends went home
and Linda and I continued on...
A night train to Vienna, then to Saltzburg to meet
more friends!   A train through the Swiss Alps to
Lucerne, on to Basel.  Rented a car and off we go
on the Alsace Wine Route in France.  I am jumping
around a bit with my paintings according to what
moves me.  Feel free to ask any questions!!

2015 Buti

4"x 6" Miniature Original
A Painting A Day...  $250

We rented a house in the village of Buti.
An incredibly steep hill, one car wide to get
to our house!  And walking to eat killed the
knees!

This is Penn State art show week... set up
on Wednesday.  This year my housekeeper
has lived in our house more days than we have!

Want to give a plug for a client who manages
a VRBO in Lititz.  Great place if you want to visit
