2022 Window #9

mini original watercolor  $300.

This is a practice window for a larger painting. It is from Stratford Hall in VA. I love the harmony of the colors.

The bittersweet vine is so beautiful but unruly. It fits nicely in this copper bucket! The redish orange berries signal the end of Fall, Winter is coming...

Another interesting stack, these were pale pumpkins.  I am thinking one more then I am finished with pumpkins till next year.

Meanwhile its crazy busy here.  I am painting.  There is lots of  mat cutting and framing going on in the studio.  Supplies are coming in daily.   We still cannot find a replacement cream matboard.  Getting some new samples on Friday but not feeling confident.   Menus are spread out on the table but decisions have not been made.  The painter and carpenter are in and out but the house is still not finished so the furniture is not put back and Linda has to wait to start setting up the panels.  It is getting down to the wire.  Linda WAS calm...

This pumpkin had an interesting slouchy shape.  I found it on a porch in Waterford, VA.

Spent the weekend cutting down glass, finished a larger painting, sanded our bathroom cabinet,  plus some jobs around the house and got a bike ride.  Suddenly the weekend is over!

Stacked pumpkins are so interesting in both shapes and colors. A bit of a challenge in watercolor, these kept me focused today.
