Painted Hills...color was unreal, big red colored large hill.
Oregon Trip
Day 4
We are all pretty excited for this day. We started at Sheep Rock and Blue Basin where we did a 1.3 mile walk winding through the heaviest concentration of these blue-green formations that do not look real and my photos do not do justice.
Pretty proud of Linda being able to do these walks after three joint replacements in one year. She is now six months from the last surgery and walking the trails. You really needed to walk into the valley of these rocks to get the full view. This place looked like the moon...fantastic. We then stopped at Thomas Condon Paleontology Visitors Center to watch a film on how this all was formed. Then off to lunch at Bridge Creek Cafe which was truly stepping back in time but had wonderful sandwiches. Our final stop is The Painted Hills
We did five short walks among the the hills. Stunning colors.
