Thursday Check in...

I am showing a larger painting I finished earlier
that will be available at my Spring Open House

18"x24" As yet untitled!

Spring Open House:
A Brush With Success ~ save the date!

Invitations are at the printer, Linda put together
a 20 page book which is also at the printer, we printed
"When Life Gives You Lemons" in the smaller 8x10
size...yes, at the printer. I am painting like crazy so there
are new fabulous originals. And I think Linda is serving
champagne and chocolates... Ahhh, celebrating!

Love this white door, Andy. Shades of earlier times, more peaceful times (I am reminded of old movies, Mayberry, etc.)...Beautiful. I wish you a jolly good time and sales too at your open house.

This is perfect. "Awaiting your arrival" is the feel this one gives to me. Just behind this door is the one who awaits ones arrival. They are not sure the day or hour the arrival will come. But, the face of the facade is the threshold to the joy the one inside and the one arriving will encounter. Do you paint in oils as well?

I like the simplicity of "Welcome" That's how I feel when I see this picture. A sense of invitation - come on in - whatever is beyond the door will be welcoming, relaxing, inviting! Sit a spell and enjoy:)

Gorgeous painting, I love the reflections in the glass and the sun dapples. Such a feeling of peace and welcome. It looks like a door that leads inside to a place where freshly-baked cookies are waiting!
