Tuesday Check in...

There is just no time to get a blog
completed this week. I drove 7 hours
home from Ohio yesterday, in time to
get to track practice. Today I had a few
errands, visited my Mom, had track practice
and had a client visit the studio tonight.
Tomorrow is the last track meet, districts.
And then we leave again Thursday morning
for a show. So simply too busy. But after
tomorrow track is finished and I will be
able to concentrate on painting again.

The good news is I finished my large painting.
20x24 Watercolor
Untitled... feel free to make title suggestions
No price either, the paint is still wet!
I am very happy with the way it turned out.

Thursday check in...

I cannot believe I only managed one painting
this week. It is simply hectic. I had two track
meets plus today I helped with the elementary
field day. Today's meet: boys won, girls lost.
This was the last meet of the season. Next
Wednesday we have Counties and that will be
the end. Tuesday there was a special Mothers
day party at the nursing home so I spent time
with my Mom. I took care of a plumbing issue
in Linda's Moms apartment. I got a badly
needed haircut. I packed the van. Linda was
equally busy at her desk, doing laundry and she
spent time with her friend Joan yesterday.
We leave again early tomorrow morning
for a 7 hour drive to Columbus Ohio, set
up the camper and chill a little bit! Don't
feel to envious, the show set up is Saturday
at 6am!

My space is #132 on Winter Street

Tulip Challenge

4"x 6" Original Watercolor
$200.00 SOLD

I know, I said I painted my last tulip...
Until the May Challenge for Paint and Draw
turns out to be a tulip! Check out the
challenge photo to see how I did.
Remember I draw it free hand.

Thank you to all the good wishes for my
award. I painted today while Linda
worked in the studio getting some framing
done. I had a track meet and both
my boys and girls were beat. Not a good
start to the week.

Sunday Check in...

Honorable Mention at Art on the Half Shell!

Here is a photo of my new ribbon, it also
came with some prize money!

This is my outdoor display, not totally
finished and lacking the rug. It was
extremely windy on Saturday and several
artists lost their tents. Notice my 50 lb
weights! I had a good sales day and met
some new clients. Just got home around
5pm and unloaded the van. Linda has a
load of laundry in and I am off to pick
up a pizza. We are both tired so it will be
an early night. Happy Mothers Day to all
the moms out there! Mine was a good
one and I know I tried her patience often!

Thursday check in!

No painting to show you tonight.
Since I am out of town this weekend
I spent quality time with my Mom,
took her some flowers for Mother's Day
and I wheeled her outside for some
fresh air. Then it was off to track practice
and then a few groceries and gas up the
van. Set up is tomorrow so we are packed
and ready to go.
This weeks Show...

Crissay-sur-Manse, France #4

4" x 6" Original Watercolor
$250.00 ~ Contact the studio

I painted this village last year, check 7/28/09
for some background. I don't know how
many favorite French villages I can have but
this one is high up on my list. I love the
red flowers against the white stone. Don't
overlook the cafe curtain in the window.

I had a track meet today, boys won, girls
lost by 6 points. Very pleased with the team!
Linda went to yoga and is going to her favorite
gardens, Chanticleer with her girlfriend all
day tomorrow.

2010 Tulip Study #3

6" x 4" Original Watercolor ~ SOLD!!
$100.00 to the first person to call/email

I wanted to paint one last set of tulips,
this time showing a broad view. The
storms pulled off all the pedals so they
are finished in the garden.
I am thinking this is perfect for Mother's
Day!!

The new camper did well over the weekend.
I had to set it up Friday night in the dark with
a flashlight... kind of a trial by fire! We sold the
old camper so that is out of here. The show
was ok, not great but ok. Most of the rest of
the season are better quality shows so I expect
more from them. Linda spent half her day
out weeding the garden which is a great stress
reliever for her! I ran to the bank, to the post
office, painted and had track practice. The day
flew by.

2010 Tulip Study #2

4"x 6" Miniature Original

Today's tulip is a close up view.

We went to market early this morning

Came home and set up and scrubbed
our old camper, getting ready to sell it.
I painted in the afternoon, then off to
track practice. Home for a fast dinner
then I went to pick up the new camper
while Linda went to Yoga. Just another
busy day.

2010 Tulip Study

4"x 6" Original Watercolor
SOLD!

While Linda has been busy in her garden
I brought my painting outside to keep her
company. The tulips looked so nice, at
least the ones the squirrels did not carry
away! I thought I would give them a try.

Below is my latest larger painting, I finished
it this weekend at the show. It will be framed
in 18x24 No title or price as of now!
If it looks familiar, I painted a study on
the blog a while back and thought it would
look great large. I am very happy with it.

Been busy around here, to busy to get a blog
painting finished each day. I can't even
remember what I have been doing. We were on
a hunt for a new used camper so we were driving
all over looking at them. Finally found one in Maryland.
I pick it up this week. I now need to get our
old one ready to sell. Linda lost one of her good
earrings which she wore everyday and that disrupted
the household for a few days. You would have thought
these things were a carat for as upset as she was.
I bought them for her years ago and I would never
have guessed she was that sentamential about them,
and trust me the diamond is small!! I get huge
brownie points for finding it in the carpet in the studio.
We have been playing with cleaning out the pond
and for the time already invested it is still dirty.
We decided to empty it and power wash it the next
warm day this week. Had a good show this past
weekend which means the mortgage will be paid!
I am expecting this week to be equally as busy but
I am trying to budget some painting time.
