This pumpkin had an interesting slouchy shape.  I found it on a porch in Waterford, VA.

Spent the weekend cutting down glass, finished a larger painting, sanded our bathroom cabinet,  plus some jobs around the house and got a bike ride.  Suddenly the weekend is over!

How many ways can you paint pumpkins? These old steps were from Waterford, VA.

We went to get pumpkins for our porch and was able to get some new pumpkin subjects so I should be good for a few more.

Stacked pumpkins are so interesting in both shapes and colors. A bit of a challenge in watercolor, these kept me focused today.

Planning on a few more pumpkins this week.

Over the weekend I cut several cases of glass and cut the mats for some finished new paintings.  Linda was working on cutting mat board and figuring out frame and supply orders.  We partied through the weekend.  Started with Thursday night dinner with Hildebrands.  Friday night we spent with Linda's brother Jimmy and his wife Trinket who were up visiting from Newport News, VA.  It was nice for Linda to have time with her brothers.   Saturday night we had pizza with our travel buddies the Linns and the Woodruffs.   Sunday I painted and Linda cleaned.

2022 Pumpkin #2

mini original watercolor      $250.

I am not 100% sure of the provenance but I think this is from our friend Nancy and it may be historic Rock Ford from a few years ago.

A rainy day means nothing but painting today!

It's pumpkin season!  This turned out great, it glows.

We returned home yesterday and unpacked for the last time this year.  All the show supplies got put away.  The camper went for winterizing.  My show season is finished and now I can concentrate on my Open House.  Linda just put in a huge supply order with costs way up.  They discontinued the cream we have been using for 40 years.  Linda is having trouble finding a substitute which is causing great stress.  My new prints have been proofed and ready to print.  Since we had been away the past two weeks Linda is feeling a bit behind but by the weekend she should be caught up.  My only job is to paint!  I finished two nice pieces this past week.  I will show them later.   It has also been two weeks since I rode my bike so a ride is next on my must do list!

2022 Still life #29

mini original watercolor   $250.

I love the challenge of painting silver.  I probably should have drawn this smaller to get the whole lamp in however it was the base that moved me not the top glass.  I liked the challenge of getting the pattern painted.  So your minds eye will have to finish off the top!

I threw in some extra stock, a few more boxes of original paintings, our "costumes" and restocked the food box.  Ready for my last show of the season.

A Lancaster County sunset.

We are back home from Bedford.   Unpacked and laundry done.  Already repacking for the Waterford Show.  We are juggling a big show, the kitchen remodel and Open House demands.  I cut 5 mats for my original paintings I am saving for Open House.  Linda is emptying boxes and filling up the kitchen cabinets and she found her hors d'oeuvres folder!
Invites are being printed and Tuesday I proof the printing of two new prints.
