I started these pumpkins before we went away but I took them along to finish. Love seeing pumpkins stacked!

Went away:   The timing was not the best with getting ready for Open House but I am sure Linda will get it all done!  I was able to paint while on ship.   We celebrated my finishing treatment with a one week cruise from NYC to Canada and back with our friends the Linns. Our first time cruising since Covid and our first time with Princess.   Excellent service, good food and perfect weather, could not ask for more!  We dressed for dinner each night just to make it more special.  I got to wear my bow ties which I love!

2023 Landscape #36

When the homeowner saw I painted her house on 10/9 and stopped to pick it up, she saw I was painting it from a different view and wanted this one also.
There is something about the way the morning light lays across this house that moves me.

I am feeling a little snake bit... At the end of last week I felt like I was getting a cold.  I know my immune system is low from all the treatments.  BUT not a cold, Covid.   We just had our boosters on the 3rd!  I still feel like just a cold, sleeping in the spare bedroom and taking Paxlovid.  Hopefully Linda will not get it.

We did a final proof of the new print on Friday and it was approved!  I spent 4 days working on this special painting...here is a sneak peak but I finished it last night. (18x24')

Todays feature is a blue bottle from an antique market in Lewisburg, PA.  We were on a hunt for a special step back cabinet and I was distracted with possible still life subjects!

Open House Update: November 17-19 (save the date and plan to come to Lititz!)  We went to proof the new print.  We want a match print, meaning the print color matches the original painting.  Some artists like to change the print colors but I am always happy with my original painting and do not think changing the print would improve it.  Linda felt the color was too dark so they will tweak it and we go back on Friday.

We also got our Covid booster today.  Several people around us have gotten Covid recently and we are planning on a little cruise and felt we better not wait.  So that was checked off the list.  We are finally moving the paintings back into the studio and out of our livingroom.

This garden bench was from Susquehanna Manor B&B in Marietta PA.  We stayed here a few weeks ago.

My studio is coming together!  We spent the day getting the back room organized; new carpet and a new table arrangement.  I am hanging some prints as I am posting my blog.
