mini original watercolor
On 2/17 I am participating in a talk about the artist journey at the Chester County Art Association. The artist are exhibiting in the black history month show. My work is SO different than all the other artists, causing me to give thought how my journey must be so different then theirs. Why I do not paint typical ethnocentric work. Thinking how I was exposed to museums and art at home. How I love history. Linda exposed me to antiques and traveling. Where I fit in the art world. I am not sure I really have the answers... meanwhile I needed an artist quote for the Waterford Show publicity and I chose this one:
“Every good painter paints what he is.”
— Jackson Pollock
