Digital traveling...

Continuing our travels...  like yesterday, I put together paintings that have a nice color pallet that flows in a way they could be hung together in a grouping even though the subject matter is vastly different.

Jim Thorpe, PA     We went here specifically looking for subject matter for me to paint. We stayed at the Parsonage B&B which was perfect. This is a view from our bedroom. I find the combination of the dark interior looking out at the houses interesting. There is really a lot going on in this painting.

Can you guess this one?? To me it screams where it is... Williamsburg, VA That brick... it is all about the brick.

Starting week 2...

I am continuing my Social Distancing Show & Sale. I had almost 100 miniature original watercolors ready for my studio show before needing to postpone it. From the grounds at Nemours in DE. They have several bodies of water, this one was shallow and you could see the bottom. There is also a wonderful collection of old trees. Well worth a visit and take your time walking the grounds.

Here is a hanging tip, lay your painting on newspaper
 or any larger paper, draw around the frame and cut it out. 
Using masking tape hang your cutout sizes and play with the
arrangement before you start banging nails!

Time for Commissions

More and more of my shows are cancelling so if you have been waiting for that special painting, I now have the time!  Here are a few examples of commissions I have done over the years...  Each one had a special meaning to the client and my goal is to add my style to my clients ideas.  I work closely with you to capture your vision.  We talk about what you envision, you OK the drawing and then I send emails as my work progresses.

4 new Landscapes

FYI:  Just letting you know if you are visiting my studio, taking a class or thinking about coming to my new Miniature Show March 27-29... we are taking precautions!  We are wiping all door handles, tables and chairs with clorex wipes every time someone has visited, before and after every class.  Our bathrooms are constantly being scrubbed and sprayed with lysol.  We have paper towels in the bathroom.  Trying to keep on top of it.  No overly large crowds here...  Linda does have a winter allergy cough but not the big bug!  

I sold several mini landscape paintings so I needed to replace them.  All framed 8x10 and will be available at the new Mini Show.
