This is the first of my studies from the
KY Shaker Village. I LOVE this place.
It has subjects at every turn. It is my
favorite time period and I love the Shaker
clean lines. The painting speaks for itself
no commentary needed.
Packed and ready to head out in the morning.
Linda planned a little time with our daughter
in DC. We are going to stop and see
Franciscan Monastery ~ they are known for their
gardens. Then go to Abbeys apartment for the
evening. Ben started his law classes so we will not

to Hillwood Estate. Then dinner in the city.
Friday we drive to Portsmouth, VA and set up for
the show. Show Sat. and Sun. and drive home on
Monday.

I hadn't realized you had two kids, Andy. Do you still have a daughter at home too? (i.e., 3 kids?) Sounds like you two will have an awesome trip and I love that you work together and travel together. Just sounds like an awesome life to my rolling stone heart. I wish you much success at this next show, great times with the kids. And as always I love this piece. These rustic yet homey pieces are just so full of life in my mind. My imagination just gets busy when I view your work.
Good Morning Autumn Leaves, I must have you so confused! We have 1 daughter, Abbey. Married last year in France to Ben who is now in law school. They live in DC.
We have another girl we helped raise that now lives in CA. And we had taken in a boy, Jason for several years and then sent him to a private school but after one year his Mom let him come home and live with her. Thats our kid story! We are off to see Abbey & Ben, altho Ben not so much since he is off studying.
LOL Thanks for setting me straight, Andy. Now...wait until you have grandkids!! (I have 3!) And the love keeps on coming! Hope you have a great time with Abbey and Ben! (And what an awesome gift to be able to marry in France!)
I live just down the hill from a shaker village in Maine. I think the last of the shakers died a few years back. Their apple orchard is filled with red ripe apples.
