Church Pews

4"x6" Original Watercolor
$225. ~ Contact the studio

An unusual angle but it was the only way
to take advantage of the light laying across
the one pew. It was the light that attracted
to start with. I also liked the wrinkles on
the cushion, you know it is well worn.
This is from a historic church in
Philadelphia, PA.

I was determined to stay focused on this
painting. I started early and stayed with
it. Its nice to be done while it is still light
outside! Linda has the back garden looking
all tidy and lots of plants blooming so I
may try to sit out a little tonight.

I think the angle is something that gives this piece added interest, Andy. I too like the pew cushions and the glance of the sun. A quite lovely piece that makes me think of old time churches...Just nice! I had to laugh at your hope to get out in Linda's spiffed up yard and garden. Reminds me of how when the girls were still at home and they always had to play in the rooms I'd finished cleaning...never their own messy bedrooms!
