I wanted to show the steps... always start with a good drawing. Making sure to understand everything that is happening.
Next, the under washes in the tree line
Moved to the foreground
My photos jumped a few steps...added color to the tree line and barn roof. Light washes in the field. Notice the gentle movement in the field. Saving my white paper for the mist.
Added clouds, actually added sky around saved white for clouds.

Totally enjoyed myself with this painting!
I concentrated painting the whole weekend. Finished a commission and cut 6 cases of glass to fit into my frames. New Artist Pro TIP: pay attention to what the "standard" sizes are. I did NOT and have prints in all sizes and have to have frames and glass cut to special sizes. Ends up being a time waster...
