Gettysburg Battlefield in the Snow #3

6"x 4" watercolor
Studio Price $275. ~ SOLD

Totally enjoying myself with this series.
The snow made everything seem sharp
and fresh.
I also started a large painting.

Another lovely piece, Andy. I learned on another blogger's blog about a year ago or so (I think it was Pat Koscienski's, another PA artist) that those long narrow openings that you see on the narrow side of this barn were used to allow the family to gather inside and defend their property if necessary. The narrow openings were to allow for their rifles/shotguns to go through but not be big enough or wide enough so as to provide an easy target of them within.
