Portrait study

 5"x 5" mini original

I am working on a series of portraits, just to
keep my hand in it.  This guy was flipping
burgers at a show in MD a few weeks ago.

I am also working on a larger painting of my Mom.
This is a complicated process since she is dear to
me and I want to get her likeness.  Not only that but
to capture her strong features and great skin tone.
I pray I am able to do her justice.
This is the first sketch.

Steeple Study

4"x6" original watercolor
$250.  ~ Contact the studio
While in the Berkshires (MA) I started
noticing church steeples.  Interesting
architecture and good practice on perspective.

This weekend is the Lititz Art Show so it will
be nice to spend the whole week home and
sleep in my own bed!  I also started riding my
bike again after nursing my knee for a few weeks.
So far so good.

2012 Lakeside View #3

5"x5" original watercolor

I am a little obsessed with these lake views
and the reflections.
Painting so many just helps my skill level.
This collections of lakesside paintings look so good in
person. They did not photograph all that well, you will not
be dissapointed, I promise!

2012 Lakeside View

4"x6" original watercolor
$325.  ~ Contact the Studio
I am spending some time studying water and
reflections.  This piece looks so good in person.
Feel free to stop in to see it otherwise I promise it
is a strong painting well worth the price!

This was my demonstration painting at Penn State
last weekend.  It is from our campground in Great
Barrington, MA.  This was the view out the popup
window early morning.  Love the fog across the back
of the lake.
"Morning Fog"   $1200.
Framed 24x18 in a black frame.

2012 Landscape #2

6"x4" original watercolor
$225. ~ Contact the Studio!

Doing a little study on fields.

Spent a good bit of the morning setting up the tent
and scrubbing it off.  We had rain in the last hour of
the last day at Penn State which means packing up
wet!  Went to market, which I love doing and now
am back at my paining.
Still in a  Shaker frame of mind.
Info on this new one will be on the website
as soon as Linda has a free moment!

All set up...

Hello State College,  I am ready for the crowds.  The show
opens on Thursday at 10am.  My space is not exactly as
they pitched it to me.  I am not on the corner of Allen and
Foster I am actually around the corner... on Foster.
Off the main drag. They placed four of us on this odd
side street.  So please take the few extra steps and find me!

We are camping again this weekend but I forgot this camp
ground has the largest selection of big... no giant motor
homes.   So Linda has a big case of motorhome envy.
Our little popup looks tiny but it has most of the comforts
of home!

new painting

Finished!

"KEEP YOUR HEAD UP"
Framed 29"x25"   $4000.

The story is that my good buddy Bruce had
a bad bicycle accident because he failed to keep his
head up.  I lecture him all the time about this bad
habit.  A few weeks ago he sent me this photo
from an area we ride together in Cuyahoga Falls, Ohio
called Hale Farm.  It was early morning and his head
was up and this was in his view.  I promised to
title it after him and I love the multiple meaning.

Returned today at 2:30pm from Ohio.  Linda has
three loads of laundry done and repacked. The van
in empty and tomorrow all the paintings need to be
wiped down, the show was dusty.  Then repack the van.
Back on the road on Wednesday... Berkshires here
I come!
