2010 Pottery #4

4"x6" Watercolor ~ $225.00 ~ Contact the Studio

I like pottery. There are thousands of glazes
and shapes and I get a kick out of painting
them. Nice strong blue with a good reflection.

Below is my latest larger painting. I have
been working on it for two weeks.
Framed 18"x14" ~ Not titled or priced as of yet...
Turned out great. I wouldn't change a thing!
The apple study is on 7/15 and is also available!
This will be on display at the Lititz Art Show.
Saturday 7/31 in the Lititz Springs Park.
Hope your coming early!

2010 Pottery #3

6"x 4" Watercolor ~ $225.00 ~ Contact the Studio

It looks like I put this pottery
away! All stacked on top and
inside of pieces... that could be
what drew me to it!

Below is my latest ribbon and the
painting that won. Out of all the
paintings I had on display it was an
odd choice but you don't question a
judge. It came with $50. which was
another reason to keep quiet!

This "winner" is available.
Talmont sur Gironde #3 $225.
8x10 framed

The Lititz Art Show is this Saturday,
July 31 Everyone should plan on

Hale Farm at Dusk

6"x 4" Watercolor ~ SOLD
I told you I had a lot of material from
this farm in Ohio. Totally enjoyed myself.
I walked all over these grounds.
Great little landscape that could be almost
anywhere, unless you know the regional
differences in barn shapes!

I am packed and ready to leave tomorrow.
The plan is to camp close to the show so
I do not need to get up any earlier than

Flowers on a Table

4"x 6" Original Watercolor
$200.00 ~ SOLD!

I am still working on my Hale Farm
subjects. I found these flowers on
an old worn kitchen table. Liked the
idea of freshly picked flowers against
the old stained table.

You may always stop in to see any of the

person. Also when they are listed on eBay
you do not need to pay on line. Bid, win and

Its nice to see bids on the two that are on

4" x 6" Original Watercolor

These bottles were found on the shelf
below the pottery I painted earlier.
I was interested in their color and
the reflections in the glass.

I am running short on time today.
I took Linda to the market, the store and
the Library. By then it was noon! I then
did a little gutter maintenance since it is to
rain, this required a trip to the hardware
store. Finally I started painting and it was
time to stop for dinner. Back to my painting
and then I am interrupted by my buddy Joe,
enticing me to chat, so I am finishing a
painting at almost 11pm...
still counts for today!

Picket Fence & Hollyhocks

4"x 6" Original Watercolor
Another scene from the Hale Farm
in Ohio. I like the way the hollyhocks
were peaking over the fence. Their
color made even stronger with the
yellow house in the background.

I got up early to ride and it was storming.
So I went back to bed till 7! I pretty much
was painting until just now. Juggling the
blog painting, a commission and my larger
apple painting. I did stop for dinner.

We got our groove on! Had a great time.

4"x 6" Watercolor ~ $175.
This is a study for a larger painting I
am starting tomorrow. I wanted a
change from still life. I concentrated
on getting the feel of the apples. To work
out the colors and pattern. They were
hanging on a tree but I did not finish
the leaves, just gave the impression of a

I also have a commission to start so I
will not get a blog done tomorrow.
It is Linda's birthday, she is spending
tomorrow with her Mom and then I
am taking her out dancing (at Sunnybrook)
in the evening. Music from the 70's...
Never did master The Hustle!

4"x6" Watercolor ~ $225.00

This is a study for a larger painting I
am working on. I found the pottery
at the Hale Farm in Ohio on my recent visit.

I am finally home for a week. No show
this weekend which is nice. Penn State
went well. Linda now needs to put in a
supply order and get some framing done.
I need to replace the originals I sold which
is a good problem. Even though we are
home I plan to paint, paint and paint some

more and I have another commission to

Monday check in...

The show in the Berkshires went very
well. I sold several paintings which
felt like the old days! I finished this
painting of a bench. The painting is
actually more grey but photoed with more
yellow. I tried several takes and just
cannot get it. So you will need to trust me
when I tell you it looks great.

No title... $575.00 14x18 framed....
We got home today at 5PM, unpacked
the van, did a few house chores while
Linda did 3 loads of laundry. We leave
again on Wednesday for the Penn State

chores. Small blog paintings are on hold!
